I have used Photosnack to create a slideshow of different film magazines in which I can look at. Even though not all of them are of the genre I am doing, I think it is a good idea to find features that contrast into mine. This helps me to find conventions to avoid or potentially include when creating my film magazine front cover for my chosen film. The first cover is from American Cinematographer, which is an American publishing company, I felt this front cover fits with the indie genre in which I will be doing, which is a good idea to look at. The front cover is basic, similar to the Indie genre as well as including the main articles needed. It does not try to bombard you with extra features, it tells you exactly what you want to know.
The second cover is from

Coming of age - Research tips
From looking on: http://www.missliterati.com/blog/5-tips-to-writing-a-coming-of-age-story I have found some interesting tips in which will help me develop my narrative further, to get a good idea on what I want my narrative to be. On this website it asks 5 questions in which coming of age films fit into:
- What events in your life happened that made you grow up?
- What were you like when you were a child? What changes did you have when you were a young adult?
- How did your outlook on life change during this transition?
- Who inspired you as a child? Did that change when you were an adult?
- What lessons, morals, and beliefs did you learn?
These are all questions in which I can analyse separately in order to come up with a narrative that will fit into the 'coming of age' genre.

Coming of age montage
I have brainstormed various different Coming of age films, so that I can link back to each film when relevant within my planning and research. Each of these I will consider taking inspiration from for my final trailer production.

Audience Profiling
Who is my audience?
I would like my overall audience to be aged between 16 and 25 as this is the perfect age for the certain issues to occur. The dominating gender that would watch this is males as stereotypically, it takes males longer to know what they want to do with their lives. Females are also allowed to watch the film as they will find the issues appropriate to their lives, however With regards to the class of the audience, I would suggest C2DE as they are either unemployed, or in education as the audience will be of a young age. However there is a possibility for a secondary audience, this would be of an older age, preferably 30-40 as this would be aimed at the audience's parents. This is because the parents could possibly want a point of view of someone the same age to see if they all have the same feelings towards the certain issues. This also could be a film that my primary audience want to show the secondary audience to express their feelings.
The psycho-graphics of this film would consist of the audience being 'explorers' as the audience would want to connect with the characters who would also want to take risks in their lives. This is because of the rebellious behaviour which they connect with the characters to. The second psycho-graphic that I would consider is reformers, this is where they want social change. This links very well with the ideas of the narrative I would like to use. This is because some people cannot get their views across and this film would be the perfect opportunity to do so. Finally I would find the audience more curious of certain characters because their struggling characteristics. This is because there is a personal identity between the audience and the characters.
The audience profile will consist of them being a rebellious audience that do not spend all the time they should be in their education. My intended audience are the type of people that enjoy spending time in the park with their friends drinking. They can often be mistaken for 'chavs' or 'hippies' but they are seen as the 'Indie' kids. They enjoy the social situations instead of school social situations because this is where they are truly seen as themselves and can express who they really are.
With consuming media products, my intended audience are the class of people who would watch comedy or horror genres. They like to binge off 'Netflix' as this is a unique medium platform which has an element of exclusivity. My audience like to feel special and unique, hence why the Indie genred film is suitable for my audience. They are also the type of people who do not like mainstream social media such as Twitter and Facebook but like places that they can express their feelings such as Instagram or Tumblr..
